One thing in this world I hate more than anything, is someone who “sponges” off of other peoples ideas. Especially if I thought of it first. Dumasaphobia is in my opinion a real honest phobia. I do believe there are thousands of people out there suffering from it. I say thousands rather than millions or billions, because it would appear that the majority of the human race is the ones who cause people like myself to suffer from it.
When I started this project, I did it with some good old fashioned homework. I searched and searched for anyone who knew or anything about this word. There was only a couple of references to forum posts of people making jokes. Then I studied word structuring to find the pronunciation key to spell out dumasaphobia as a dictionary would. I believe I have it right: {dŭm’ăs-ə-fō’bē-ə}
I registered and copyrighted the word and spellings in February 2007. Here it is a year later, and some poser has come along and decided that she is going to tell the world about it. I’m not real thrilled about it, but then again, I’m not totally unhappy either.
Yes, you will find others talking about it and that is the idea. But you will also find that 90% of the sites refer back to this site or my parent sites of CastleRain (com, net, org)
Keep in mind, dumasaphobia and it’s spelling are my intellectual rights and I will defend it. But people who try to steal ideas away from others are part of the cause why people fear stupid people.
